Thank you for taking the time to read about us. Backroombits is a trading name of Asquith Renton limited a family run business located near Battle, which is in the county of East Sussex, England. Why backroombits? we know many Antique and Collectables dealers who leave their most precious pieces or pieces they think they cannot sell in the backroom, so we though it appropriate to call our site by that name, as you will find pieces here that not many other sites would list, as they are considered unworthy. We have been trading for 23 Years and are passionate about Antiques and Collectables from all eras, offering services as well as products. We have sold an enormous amount of Antiques and Collectables during this time, and have many satisfied clients both in the UK and Worldwide. Our interest's are very wide and varied, we enthuse as much about a 17th Century Coffer s as we do a 21stCentury piece of ceramics, but saying that, we do have a particular passion, which is Masons Ironstone China, and as time goes on we aim to list an enormous quantity of this, and other ceramics, so please be sure to bookmark us.
We have resisted the urge to expand during this 23 year period, favouring instead, to maintain a personal service to our clients, this means that any Contact with the company, or order you might place with us, will be dealt with by a Director of the company, from start to finish. But please be patient, as we are very busy most of the time, attending Auctions, Markets, and Antique Fairs, so a response to any question may not be instantaneous but we shall get back to you as soon as it is feasibly possible.
Product Quality
Each listed item has been thoroughly checked, all wooden items have been hand finished with a liberal coat of quality Wax, and the Clocks are all serviced and tested by us, so please buy with confidence. Once we have thoroughly checked the product and are satisfied with the product's quality it will then be listed onto the site. Any faults are detailed in the listing, and the product will again be checked before despatch to provide extra piece of mind.
As well as having this website, we attend many smaller provincial Antique Fairs throughout East Sussex, which are all detailed on our EVENTS page, and we would be delighted to meet you at any one of them. We also sell our wares in "Aunty Wainwright's" a high quality Antique and Collectables shop located in Heathfield High Street, Heathfield, East Sussex. Where you will be very welcome, and is well worth a visit if you are ever in the area.
